Hi Tarsha,

I highly recommend Bill Dueease and his excellent Coach Connection. I was able to interview three coaches to see who was the best fit for my business and me. I could have interviewed more if I didn't like the first three. However, I settled on the one that was high-spirited and demanding because that's what I wanted in a coach. It worked out quite well for me.

I broke some old patterns and ways of doing things that consistently presented the outcome that I did not want to happen. I started a new invention and grew one of my two companies to million dollar revenues while dissolving the other. (Too many ideas going at once dilute your efforts at the thing you want to do most.) I did not look at coaching as long term as I just needed a nudge to get going on a new idea, organize myself better, launch a new product, and get my team together and that meant cleaning out 90% of the team and starting a new one which I now adore.

My coach presented me with tasks and exercises that I had to complete each week. It proved to be challenging running two businesses and getting my homework done but it all worked out in the end.
It was well worth the time and money spent and I would do it again in any instance where I needed more mentoring and support to get over a hump.

I guess what I'm saying is you can't go wrong with the Coach Connection because even if you don't like it you can get your money back. It worked for me and I don't have one thing bad to say about their service.

I'm still in touch with my coach today as a mentor and colleague.

Young business owner lady achieves remarkable business and personal successes
(By discovering how to get out of her own way.)

One 41-year old young lady had owned and operated a group of Internet sales businesses and had seen them stagnate for the past three years. Although she was a hard worker, a very strong person, and very committed to the businesses, she could not improve their profits. She began to feel that she was in her own way, but she could not figure out how or what to do about it.

She engaged a TCC business coach to assist her to identify her self-imposed “walls.” Her coach assisted her to “push her over these walls” so she could take her businesses to new levels. Through coaching, she immediately discovered that the tensions caused by the conflicts between she and her husband, who also worked in the businesses created a very serious “wall.” She and her coach found a way to define the rolls and expectations of both her and her husband to eliminate the constant energy draining tensions. Once this wall was cleared, they revealed several other “walls” and cleared them also. By doing so, her natural leadership talents were unleashed and her excitement and energy levels rose and they infected her companies. Since then, her companies have realized a huge and steady jump in profits, and her relationship with her husband also grew stronger.

Maureen is a vivacious and charming young lady who had worked for one of the largest display companies in sales and earned her way up to the general manager position, running the multi-office company. Yet, she felt an itch to do her own thing. When political backbiting and disregard for integrity became the norm where she worked, she decided to start her own business to design, produce, store, and manage trade show displays. After four years she grew the business to $350,000 per year in sales, but was working at least ten hours a day for seven days a week. She entered the Count Me In "Make Mine A $Million Business" (M3) contest in 2005 to help her improve her business. She became one of only five winners out of hundreds of applicants. The purpose of the M3 program is to help women business owners grow their businesses to over One Million dollars in annual revenues by offering a very effective array of special resources to women business owners to succeed. One of the key resources the M3 program offered Maureen was two months of paid coaching with The Coach Connection. Yet, Maureen was a bit reluctant to initiate coaching initially, because she had a preconceived misconception of what coaching was. But when she realized that her business was struggling, and with the encouragement of several other winners who were using coaching, she decided to give coaching a try.

Her coach immediately took Maureen down the path of self-discovery. Maureen discovered she had gotten to the point where she operated her business to suit the supposed desires and rules of others and had completely ignored her own passions and priorities. She and her coach decided to change the conditions of her business to suit Maureen and create her own ideal position within the business as the controlling owner. The first thing she did was release the sales force that she hired because experts convinced her to, but were producing few sales while draining the business of money, resources, and energy. Immediately, Maureen felt a great personal relief, her cash flow improved dramatically, and her sales jumped even greater. Maureen knew that she loved to sell, and was very good at it. By eliminating the sales force she had been paying, she created the conditions in the business where she unleashed her passions and talents of selling and arranged the business to support her selling successes, versus Maureen supporting others. Not only did Maureen flourish as a person, she reduced her work schedule, and her business flourished so well that she took her business from $325,000 in revenues in August of 2006 to over one million dollars by the end of 2006. She eventually rebuilt a sales team with her new strategies and terms, and still remains very active in sales. She discovered that to become a successful business owner, the owner must create the conditions of the business to allow the owner to operate in his or her ideal position. Maureen got very strategic about her business and has continued to flourish in her personally created ideal position. Her business has more than doubled in size and successes, and her family life has improved because she has systems in place that allow her peace of mind and time away. Maureen has also become, not only a shining example to other women business owners, but she has been elected to the board of the Count Me In organization to help hundreds of thousands of other women succeed, by being themselves.

49 year old business woman blossoms and her business flourishes

Theresa is a genuine, low key, almost shy 49-year-old young lady who started her own button company in her house 12 years ago to create the buttons she could not find. The first year she sold about $50.00 in buttons at approximately 4 cents per button. Last year her company sold over $373,000 in buttons. She found herself working 14-hour days 7 days a week to keep the business running. Although she enjoyed most of what she did, she was consumed by it and was burning out. She recognized that she had taken her business as far as she could, operating as she had. She felt she was in her own way. She had read many business and self help books and had hired consultants to tell her what to do. Nothing worked. She hired a TCC coach after hearing the many success stories of the women business owners while attending the Make Mine a Million (M3) event in Phoenix in 2008.

Being coached introduced Theresa to the wonderful world of Theresa. Once she became the world’s leading expert on Theresa she gained new perspectives on herself. She discovered that she not only knew more about making buttons than most anyone but that she had the drive, talents, and qualities to become a valuable leader. She had become frozen, as the owner for fear of making mistakes that would have far bigger consequences than in the earlier stages of her business. Her vision for the business and herself was revived and clarified, so that she began working ON her business rather than IN it. She discovered that trusting her own instincts to trust others she selected to allow them to perform the many functions she disliked was a successful formula for success. As an example, she finally relented to allow someone else to dye the buttons, her personal job for the previous 12 years, and discovered that this other person ran the dye operation faster and with fewer errors by doing it differently.

Her business ran better without her, as her trusted support staff executed their functions better than she had or would. She no longer felt guilty because she was not doing everything. Theresa now knows and understands her newly created ideal income position within the business as the real CEO. Naturally, she has reduced her workday schedule to less than 8 hours per day, she takes long weekends off, and she has been able to expand the revenues and profits of her business dramatically by creating even more mutual beneficial (Win-Win) alliances. She applied for the next Make Mine a Million (M3) competition and won easily. Theresa has become another M3 winner and Coach Connection remarkable success story.

Since winning the M3 program, the benefits and rewards I achieved through coaching with my TCC Coach are as follows: I learned how to delegate, how to receive early buy-in from my new employees and when to ask for help.

However, before I could move forward with the aforementioned achievements, I had to completely change my way of thinking about my business and to decide if I truly wanted to grow my business. This was significant, because I kept telling myself I wanted to grow my business, however, I didn't completely understand that "growing a business requires major changes." With that said, through the coaching process I achieved the following:

First, I realign my staff according their skills and abilities. Then, I had to learn how to delegate the day-to-day task and trust my employees to do the things "I thought I could only do." Once I did these things, I was amazed to find out....I didn't have to do it ALL.

Second, I learned that I had to obtain early buy-in from my "New Employees." Prior to my coaching experience, employees were hired without completely understanding ....HPC's mission, vision and value system. Now, a system is in place for HPC's new hires. That is, new employees receive "new hire orientation, company wide introduction and training prior to being placed in their new position."

Finally, I was AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP, SHARE MY FEARS AND CONCERNS with others. My coach kindly informed me that more than likely, 9 out 10 business owners "may be experiencing or have experienced" the very same fears and concerns. I soon realized that " I wasn't alone and that it's okay to ask for help you!

So.....the benefits and achievements received from my TCC coach can be summed-up as follows: "I have developed my business self-esteem which has allowed me to be more confident in making major decisions; my employees now have the freedom to be creative and do the things they were hired to do; and, I truly feel and see myself as their leader and CEO.

Business woman leaves deterioarting partnership,
(And goes from depths of despair, and uncertainty to incredible succeses)

I have some great news. I just signed last night my first seven figure contract with distributors in Japan, so it is now guaranteed that I am going to hit the Million Dollar group of M3 racers. The contract that was signed last night was for $2.165 million over 2.5 years with a guaranteed $320k for 2009. And I am just awaiting signatures on another contract with a distributor in South Korea which is for $550k through the end of 2010 and one more contract with a distributor in Russia which is valued at $1.2 million for 2009. As soon as I receive signed contracts on those deals I will email you.

I cannot believe what a difference a year makes. In April of 2008, there was the chance that I was going to lose everything with the split from my business partner, and I had to make the decision about whether to go back to corporate America or hit the reset button on my business. With sales this year already at $230,000 even without these international deals, I now know that I have made the right decision to fight for the "Cor" brand and keep on keeping on! My Coach Connection Coach has been a huge part of helping me put the past in the past and just focus on the positive, future growth of my business and my life and for that I am so grateful that I discovered your respective organizations when I did - both Count Me In and The Coach Connection. I wouldn't have started coaching had it not been for winning the M3 race when I was still part of my previous partnership business, and I don't think I would be quite as far along in building the new business and being so truly happy about what I am doing right now if I hadn't started the coaching.  So thank you!
