This appears to be a nebulous definition that may be somewhat difficult
to grasp at first. When we dig deeper to better understand what this entails,
you will discover the wonderful world that it opens up and the extremely
important and wonderful accomplishments it can lead to. First it is a
FUTURE PLACE YOU want to BE. This means you have chosen to move your life
to a place different than where you are today. A Coachable Goal is the
situation you want to enter, not the place you want to leave behind. You
always focus on where you want to go, not where you are leaving. You
decide where you want to go. You cannot be forced, sold, or tricked into
deciding to become this person. You will undoubtedly make this decision
on your own, when you are good and ready. You control where you want to
go and when you want to start the process.
It has been said that the greatest growth any person can ever experience
is the increased awareness of who they are. Think of the monumental
effort, money and time humans have spent over time seeking to unravel
the mystery of man. When the real mystery people have been seeking to

The First Stage of Leadership Coaching to become

The first stage of leadership coaching will be the Discovery Stage.
During the Discovery Stage your leadership coach will ask you open ended
questions to assist you to reveal to your coach AND to YOU:
1. Your True Passions. These include the passions you know about,
the ones you suspect and the ones that have been hiding within you, but
have not been allowed out for your recognition and acceptance.
2. Your True Priorities and Desires. These include where your work
goals and actions, where your family goals and actions and where your
personal goals and actions fit together in the importance for YOU and
ONLY YOU!! You will gain a much clearer picture of what really means the
most to you and why.
3. Your Beliefs and Values. Some people refer to these as the elements
of spirituality. These include your integrity, your moral code of ethics,
and your relationship with God.
4. Your True Talents. These include the talents you know about,
the talents you might suspect you have, and those talents that have been
hidden and suppressed within you.
5. Your True Self-imposed Obstacles. These include the things in
life that you just do not want to do. They can be considered the opposite
of your passions. Everyone has such obstacles. It is OK to have them and
very important to know what they are, so you do not allow yourself to
be in a place where you have to do them repeatedly to survive.
Once you and your leadership coach discover these many very important
factors, which make up who you really are, you will become "The Worlds

This is the most important stage. This is where the power and wonderful
results from coaching are generated. This stage normally takes the most
amount of time (approximately two thirds of the entire process)
The Second Stage of Leadership Coaching to become

your leadership position to SUIT YOU! This way you create your leadership
position around you. This is a complete switch from the normal way people
select their work positions (normally jobs). Far too many people pick
their work positions, or fall into their work positions by using the Trial
and Error method of selection. Then they ADJUST to life conditions to
suit their bosses, their family, their friends, and others with little,
if any concern for themselves.
But now you will be building life conditions and the environment you want
around YOU. This is the creative stage.
The Final Stage of Leadership Coaching to become

The final stage is that your coach will assist you to take the steps
to actually attain (be in) the leadership position that is designed specifically
for YOU! This is the completion stage, the execution stage. Through
leadership coaching, this will normally be the easiest and fastest stage,
because you will know exactly what you want to do and why. You will focus
on attaining it, with little, if any diversions or distractions by other
"opportunities."
